He was born Sept. 19, 1939, in Alcorn County, Mississippi. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until funeral time Friday at Victory Life Church at 1200 Crescent Ave. in Lockport. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Cathy Lawrence Haney, of Thibodaux; sons, Sonny Haney, of Houma, Robin Haney, of Labadieville, Travis O. Haney Jr., of Lake Charles, Olen Haney, of Texas, and Hank Haney, of Colorado; nine grandchildren; and brother, Charles Haney Sr., of Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edna Williams Haney; brother, Terry Haney Sr.; and sisters, Shelby Baggnet and Dottie Patin. Travis enjoyed fishing and shrimping as well as taking apart engines and putting them back together. He graduated with a technical degree in welding from Port Sulphur. Travis was very athletic and played baseball and football in his younger years playing until he was 40 years old. Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements. ======================
