Hubbell, a native of Salem, Illinois, and resident of Gray, was born Nov. 8, 1938 and passed away at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Falgout Funeral Home at 211 Westside Blvd. in Houma. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Quinnie; sons, Chris and wife, Mary, of Houma, Michael and wife, Sandy, of Many, and Doug Hubbell, of Houma; grandchildren, Wesley Hubbell, of Houma, Jasa Hubbell Falgout and husband, Lionel, of Houma, and Danielle Hubbell Carpenter, of Cooca, Florida; great- grandchildren, Kadyn, Riley, and Riker Falgout, and Griffon Hubbell; step- granddaughters, Melissa Eschete, of Houma, and Brittni Carpenter, of Cooca, Florida; step-great-granddaughter, Brooke Belanger, of Gray; brothers, Carl, of Centralia, Illinois, Lanny and wife, Mary Ann, of Odin, Illinois, and Jan, of Salem, Illinois; sisters, Bonnie Parker, of Naples, Florida, and Neita Henry, of Gilmer, Texas; sister-in-law, Helen Hubbell, of Odin, Illinois; aunt, Betty Schultz, of California; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, L.E. "Buck" and Roberta Hubbell, of Salem, Illinois; and brother, Larry Hubbell, of Odin, Illinois. Gary served in the U.S. Navy and was a retiree of Exxon Oil Company. A heartfelt thank you to Courtney Pitre, South Louisiana Hospice, and all friends for their thoughtfulness and prayers.
