James "Jimmy" William King, 80, a native and resident of Houma, died at 11:50 
a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014.

No services are planned at this time.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Dolores Eschete King; son, Mike 
King and wife, Sue, of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Lisa Joffrion and husband, 
Barton, Mary Landry and Janelle Bergeron, all of Houma; brothers, Ronald King 
and wife, Betty, of Tullahouma, Tenn., and Steven King and wife, Cathy, of 
Carthage, Texas; grandchildren, Jarred King and wife, Sheila, Jeremy King and 
wife, Leah, Abbey Smith and husband, Josh, Carly Joffrion, Brad Joffrion, and 
Colby Landry and companion, Matti Delatte; great-grandchildren, Alexis Moody, 
Annabelle King, Olivia King, Tanner King, Bryce King, Scarlett Smith, Aubrey 
Smith and Elijah Landry; and numerous nieces and nephews who lovingly referred 
to him as "Nonc."

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Pearl King; and daughter-in-
law, Dana King.

Jimmy was an employee of Superior Oil Company and retired from Exxon Mobil. He 
was a loving husband, father and grandfather. 
He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice and Monica Guidry for their 
compassionate care and support.
