"Ricky" LeBlanc Jr., 56, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died peacefully surrounded by his family Friday, May 23, 2014. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church cemetery in Thibodaux. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Cindy Arcement LeBlanc; devoted children, Benton Michael and Jeremy Francis LeBlanc; brother, Keith LeBlanc Sr.; father-in-law, Elward Arcement; godchildren, Amy Arcement Templet, Keith LeBlanc Jr. and Adrianna Domangue; and special cousin and friend Debbie Domangue, who he loved more than life itself. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Ricardo F. "Ricky" LeBlanc Sr.; godmother, Carole Ann Domangue; godfather, Dwight LeBlanc; mother-in-law, Sophie Arcement; and grandparents, Camelia and Elphege LeBlanc, and Bessie and Louis LeBlanc. God and family were the center of Ricky's life, and his devotion to his family, to the Blessed Mother and to the Rosary were deep and profound. Until his last day, she guided him home to be with our heavenly angels who have gone before us. Helping, caring and giving to others were of the utmost importance to him. Ricky was a salesman all of his adult life. His great personality was contagious to all, including his family and many friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone he encountered, including his beloved four- legged "baby," Louie. He was a loyal parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where he served as an usher and a member of the St. John's Men's Club. He also was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and member of the Christ the Redeemer Co. No. 8906, where he worked as an insurance agent and made life-long friends who he considered family. The family would like to extend special heartfelt thanks to the Rev. Mike Bergeron, the entire staff of M.D. Anderson Brain and Spine Center, TRMC Cancer Center, Dr. Jimmy Ellis and staff, and St. Joseph Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ricky's memory to: St. John's Men's Club, 2085 St. Mary St., Thibodaux, LA 70301. Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements. ======================
