Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by her children, Stephen G. LeCompte and wife, Patsy, Dennis J. LeCompte and wife, Sarah, Meridy A. Liner and husband, Randy, and Nettie M. Prejean and husband, David; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brother, Curtis Hebert; and sister, Iris Blevons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul "J.P." Joseph LeCompte; parents, August Hebert and Effie Rhodes Hebert; son, Paul J. LeCompte Jr.; and daughter, Evelyn C. Autin. Lita was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and growing flowers. She will be remembered as the snowball lady on Gum street and for selling her handmade baby clothes and quilts at Southdown Marketplace. She was the longest surviving member of Camp Bluebird. Lita also loved to spoil her grandchildren. Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements. ======================
