Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church cemetery She is survived by her husband, Butley Mahler Sr.; sons, Glen (Cynthia) Carriere, Herbert (Julie) Carriere, and Butley Mahler Jr.; daughters, Molly (Roland) Stein, Julie Schoeffler, Della (Pete) Hildebrand, and Katie (Bryan) Zeringue; sisters, Irma Becnel and Alicia Robicheaux; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three grand-dogs. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert Carriere; parents, Alidor "Flute" Cortez and Elizabeth "Liza" Martinez; and brothers, Cleveland, Ozema and Ervin.
