Blanche Galjour Martin, 81, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 12 a.m. 
Wednesday, May 21, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Friday 
at the church, 

with burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church cemetery in Cut Off. 

She is survived by her son, Chris Martin (Winola Duet); daughters, Iris M. 
(Lorris J.) Lathrop and Kelly M. (Ronnie P.) Hebert; grandchildren, Toni M. 
(Greg) Curole, Jason (Mandy) Martin, Nicol M. Angelette, Natalie Lathrop, 
Steven Lathrop, and Kalob Burris; and great-grandchildren, Christopher Curole, 
Gregory Curole, Mary Allis Matherne, Kayden Martin, Allis Matherne, Vivian 
Martin, Brett Angelette, Lauren Angelette, Nathan Angelette, Isabella Guidry 
and Kristynn Guidroz. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elson "Coon" Martin; parents, Sidney 
Galjour and Alice Terrebonne Galjour; brother, Herbert "Low" Galjour; and 
sisters, Mildred G. Pierce, Grace G. Williams, and Ruby G. Adams. 

Blanche was a wonderful cook, fabulous seamstress, and creative artisan who 
loved entertaining people. She will be dearly missed. 

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
