BENJAMIN SIMS,a retired laborer died Saturday, May 10, 2014  at his residence 
in Paincourtville, LA. 
He was 77, and a native of Paincourtville, LA. 

Visiting at Williams & Southall Funeral Home, Napoleonville, LA from 2:00pm to 
4:30pm Friday, May 16, 2014. Visiting at St. Charles in Paincourtville, LA from 
9:00am to Religious Services at 11:00am conducted by Rev. John Cooks. 

Burial in St. Charles church cemetery in Paincourtville. 

Survived by 7 sons, Cedric (Lilly) Sims of Darrow, LA, Perry (Francine), Clyde, 
Derrick (Tammay) Sims, all of Los Angeles, CA, Paul (Noel) Ausbrooks, of Belle 
Rose, LA, Peter (Sandra) Ausbrooks of Paincourtville, LA, and Rev. Jerome 
(Fredrica) Ausbrooks of Napoleonville, LA; 2 daughters, Jarvon Sims of Belle 
Rose, LA, and Sue (James) Williams of Paincourtville, LA; 1 brother, Wilbert 
Sims, Jr.; 5 sisters, Willie Mae Arceneaux, Ethel Mae, Althea and Gail Sims, 
and Jo Mary Hayes; Also survived by 23 grandchildren, and a host of great 
grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Sims; parents, Wilbert and Neola Sims; 1 
son, Gerard Sims; brothers and sisters.
