Derek "Dee" John Aucoin, 35, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Thursday, 
June 26, 2014.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. Genevieve 
Catholic Church in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. 
Monday at the church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

He is survived by his mother, Hazel Himel Aucoin; son, Ethan Aucoin; brothers, 
Darryl Aucoin and wife, Anh Thu Aucoin, and Bryan Aucoin and wife, Chantell 
Aucoin; sister, Michelle Aucoin Bilello; and nieces and nephews, Ryan, Kyle, 
and Keri Bilello, and Katie, Elizabeth, Brant, and Brittani Aucoin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Berthon Aucoin; grandparents, Junius 
and Medora Himel, Valerie Adams Aucoin Tabor and Berthon Joseph Aucoin Sr.; and 
step-grandfather, Johnny Tabor

Derek was a loving father to his son, Ethan.

He enjoyed watching LSU and Saints football with his son.

Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
