Blanchard, 90, a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Labadieville, LA passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 4, 1924. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Labadieville, LA from 8:30 AM until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Philomena Cemetery. She is survived by three children, Floyd Talbot of Labadieville, Gail T. Clause and Husband Richard of Napoleonville, Emile J. Talbot and wife, Amelie of Thibodaux; three grandchildren, Richie Clause Jr. and wife, Bonnie of Morgan City, Wendy C. Hebert and husband, Chad of Thibodaux, Leah T. Reppel and husband, Justin of Belle Chase; three great-grandchildren, Robbie Clause, Shawn Hebert, and Whitney Reppel; sister, Kathleen B. Guidry and husband, Ray of Thibodaux, LA She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert D. Talbot, second husband of 53 years, Irving Blanchard; parents, Ernest and Mae Keller Bergeron; infant son, Michael Talbot; great grandson, Joey Clause. She was a charter member of the Labadieville American Legion Auxiliary Post 284 of which she served as Secretary/Treasurer for many years. Please join us in reciting the rosary at 9:45 AM. Alice prayed the rosary, said novenas, and watched the mass on a daily basis. She was a devoted catholic who loved her church, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She was a loving and giving person. She will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank her devoted caretakers, Charlotte, Carol and Vivian, Delta Health Services, Assumption Council on Aging Staff, and most recently the Staff of St. Joseph Hospice.
