Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1406.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 19th at 4 p.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose for Kate Cheramie Brady, 72, a native of Galliano and resident of Kingsville, Texas, previously resided in Larose, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 4:45 p.m. at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. till 4 p.m. mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Church on Thursday, June 19 with burial in Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery, Larose. She is survived by husband, Pat Brady; sons, Todd Mitchell Brady and wife Janie Cantrelle Brady and their children, Aishia Marie Brady, Ali Augusta Brady and Sarah Jeanne Brady; Troy Patrick Brady and son Tomey Ray Brady; Toby James Brady and wife Stacy Plaisance Brady and their children, Beau Gerard Brady, Amber Lynn Brady and Brett Michael Brady; Trent Marcus Brady and wife Dawn Guidroz Brady and their children, James Patrick Brady, II and Brenna JulieÕ Brady. She was preceded in death by mother, JeanneÕ Gisclair Cheramie and father, Volcar ÒRoueÓ Cheramie; brothers, Charlie Cheramie and Norris Cheramie. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, member of the Ladies Altar Society and Krewe of Versailles, Safari Club International and Cruisin Cajuns. Kate was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, better known as Grannie. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. According to them, no one could beat their GrannieÕs gumbo. Hunting was her passion. ÒShe could hammer a nail from one hundred yards with her rifle.Ó Her second love was Mardi Gras. She was an original member of the Krewe of Versailles and past Royalty. Kate left a lasting impression wherever she went. Her smile and laughter were contagious. She was small in stature, but big in heart. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. The family would like to extend their appreciation and thanks to the wonderful staff at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in memory of Kate C.
