Stella Ruth Matherne Floyd, 93, a native of Houma and a resident of Bourg, died 
Saturday, June 21, 2014.

Visitation will be Monday, June 23, 2014 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Samart 
Funeral Home and Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 9:00am to 10:00am at Bayou Blue 
Methodist Church.

Religious Services will be Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 10:00am at Bayou Blue 
Methodist Church

Burial will be in Matherne Cemetery.

Survived by
Daughters- Sheila Holyfield and husband Bob of Denham Springs, LA, Cynthia 
Cornelious of Borger, TX, and Jacqueline Brewster and husband Alan of Bourg, LA
Brother- F.J. Matherne Jr. of Bourg, LA
Grandchildren- Michaelyn Meyers and husband Mike of Borger, TX, Tammy Rester 
and husband Daniel of Baton Rouge, LA, Michelle Townzen and husband Jeff of 
Lowell, AR, Myles Holyfield and wife Tiffany of Gonzales, LA, Christopher 
Brewster and wife Lori of Lowell, AR, and Danielle Brewster of Springdale, AR
Great Grandchildren- 12

Preceded in death by
Husband- Myles Floyd
Parents- Farmond and Lorentine Matherne
Brothers- Elzey Matherne, Irvin Matherne, Aaron Matherne, Nolan Matherne, Bruce 
Matherne, and Floyd Matherne
