She was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 11:00AM until Mass at 1:00PM at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her husband, George Paul Fournier Sr.; sons, George Paul Fournier Jr. and wife Annette of Lafayette, La., Timothy J. Fournier and wife Diana of Houma, La; daughter, Brenda F. Doiron and husband Eddie Jr. of Houma, La; five grandchildren, Jessica (Beau) Wright, Michelle (Royce) Pellegrin, Angele (John) Poiencot, Eddie (Megan) Doiron III, Nicole (Scott) Kraemer; ten great grandchildren, Noah, Grant, Royce Joseph, Isabelle, Emily, Lily, Charlotte, Isaiah, Gemma, McKenna; and sister, Merle S. Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, John A. Smith and Eunice Matherne Smith; and brothers, Jason P. Smith Sr., and Harvey "Bubba" Smith Sr. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Yvonne was an avid reader, enjoying both news and fiction. She spent many hours volunteering at the church she attended, St. Bernadette, and was a member of K of C Ladies Auxiliary #1317. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend that will be dearly missed by all her loved ones. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Journey Hospice, especially Linda and Trudy, and the entire staff of The Oaks of Houma. Additionally, they would like to thank Yvonne's best friend, Margaret Rhodes for always being there when she was needed most. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Bernadette Catholic Church's building fund. ======================
