Ray "Butch" E. Legendre Sr., 71, a native and resident of Thibodaux, was born 
June 10, 1943, and died Wednesday, June 25, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Charles 
Borromeo Catholic Church in St. Charles community. A Mass of Christian burial 
will be at noon Saturday at the church, 

with burial in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church cemetery in St. Charles 
community. 

He is survived by his wife, Colette Legendre; son, Ray "Brother" E. Legendre 
Jr. and wife, Bethany; daughters, Michele Navarre and husband, Mark, and Janell 
"Bz" Sullivan and husband, Duke; brothers, Norman "Joe" Legendre Jr. and Lynn 
Legendre; sisters, Myrna Gros, Kathleen "Prunie" Dore', and Lynette Dufrene; 
nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Legendre Sr. and Lois Cancienne 
Legendre; daughter, Gaynell Legendre; and sister, Mary Joan Legendre. 

Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
