He was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 5:00PM-9:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 9:00AM until service time at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11:00AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Bayou Black Cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jane Breaux Lirette; daughter, Mary Fonseca and husband Brian; grandchildren, Mandy Abbott and husband Nicholas, Brooke Fonseca; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Abbott, Bryson Abbott; brother, Larry Lirette and wife Sandy; brother in law, David Bergeron; sisters, Henrietta "Min" Guidry, Elaine Luke and husband David, Elizabeth "Betty" Collins and husband James, Linda Wall and husband Roy, Susan Marcel and husband Steve; and sister in laws, Jeannie Lirette, Barbara Lirette. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony James Lirette and Malvina Voisin Lirette; brothers, Ronald "T-Won" Lirette, Gerald "Sam" Lirette, Loney Lirette; and sister, Hedy "Blonde" Bergeron. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by all his loved ones. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staffs of TGMC, Haydel Memorial Hospice, and Dr. Brian Matherne's office for the loving care given to Jimmy. ======================
