Sherman Jack McCaskill, 62, a native of Larose and resident of Raceland, died 
Wednesday, June 11, 2014. 

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kennedy Funeral Home in 
Raceland. 

He is survived by his wife, Shelia McCaskill; mother, Theresa Harris Burd; son, 
Sherman (Ashley) Allen; daughters, Irene (Zolton) Adams and Princess L. (Leroy) 
Johnson; brothers, Marvin (Gloria) Burd Sr. and Ervin Burd; sisters, Shelia 
Jacqueline Harris and Angela (Elton Jr.) Diggs Guidroz; and grandfather, 
Theodore Harris. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Burd Sr.; and grandparents, 
McKinley Benjamin and Mosea Gertrude Benjamin. 

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
