Lila Jean Poe Pierson, 90, a native of Akron, Ohio and resident of Thibodaux, 
LA passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.

Visitation will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church on Tuesday from 6:00 
p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass 
of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. 

with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Michael S. Pierson and wife Lady; daughter, Ronna 
Pierson Bulera; brother, Richard Poe; sisters, Ruth Poe Edenhart, Linda Poe 
Sunder; grandchildren, Michael J. Bulera and wife Carol, Deborah Bulera, Jason 
Bulera; great grandson, Michael Jared Bulera.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Reverend Roland S. 
Pierson; father, Stephen B. Poe; mother, Grace Blair Poe; brother, Dale Poe; 
sisters, Elaine Poe, Fern Poe Driver.

She was a member of the Associates of the Sisters of the Holy Nativity, 
Episcopal Women of St. John's Episcopal Church.

She served in the U.S. Women's Army Corp. during World War II.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Episcopal Church Women of St. 
John's Episcopal Church.
