Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1407.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Eugene Joseph Arceneaux, 69, a native of Larose and a resident of Terrebonne Parish has peacfully passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014. Eugene is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Dupre Arceneaux. His Sons, Danny J. Arceneaux, Jason J. Arceneaux and wife Anastasia. His daughter Tammy A. Stevenson and husband Floyd. His grandchildren, Danny Robert Calliout and family; Trinity and Damian Arceneaux, and Olivia Dufrene and their mother Juanita Dufrene; Jarett, Jesse, and Jacob Stevenson; Candace Arceneaux; Samuel and Jordon Lirette; Brandon Breaux; Jason Jr. and Jasmine Arceneaux; Seth and Sebastian Porche. His great grandchildren, Ava and Mya Tyler, Logan Stevenson, and Karson Terrebonne. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Alcide and Marie Arceneaux; several brothers and sisters, and a nephew; and his beloved daughter, Roxane M. Arceneaux. Eugene was a private man who lived a simple life devoted to his family. He worked on the water most of his life, as a Port Captain. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, gardening, fishing, carpentry, and was passionate about building his purple martin bird houses. His family will have a private ceremony in his honor, to celebrate his life. His memory and spirit will forever live on, in the hearts of all who loved and cherished him. Eugene will be cremated and brought home to rest. A special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice and Samart Funeral Home who respectfully handled all the arrangements. ======================
