Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday, July 26, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. A celebration of Jerome's life and a Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at the church. He is survived by his siblings, Emily "Cathy" Braud Rehage, Dr. Edward L. Braud, Elizabeth "Betsy" Hodnett, Dr. Mary Margaret Braud and Jennifer Braud. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Donald James Braud and Dr. Sarah Marks Braud, of Thibodaux; and his brother, Walter James "Jimmy" Braud. Jerome was a 1975 graduate of E.D. White Catholic High School in Thibodaux and earned a degree in political science from LSU. Jerome studied culinary arts at Delgado University and worked for many years as a chef. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to Oxfam, Playing for Change, Catholic Relief Services or a charity benefitting children.
