Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1407.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Florence "Florrie" Theresa Watkins Kornovich, a native of Houma, and longtime resident of Terrytown, passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare Center Thursday, July 3, 2014. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Florrie's life at 6 p.m. Friday at 190 Colony Road in Belle Chasse. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral in Houma. Florrie is survived by her brother Thomas Kenneth Watkins and sister-in-law, Sheridan Milek Watkins; children, Catherine Francis (Arthur), Stephen Kornovich (Roylene), John Kornovich (Alice), Mark Kornovich, and Paul Kornovich; grandchildren, Sara and Ann Francis, Jennifer Hicks (Christopher) and Jason Kornovich (Stephanie), and Anna and Clara Kornovich; great-grandchildren, Riley and Kennedy Hicks; as well as many nieces and nephews, other family, and friends. Florrie was preceded in death by her parents, Florence Delatte and Judge J. Louis Watkins; husband, Lawrence Vincent Kornovich; brother, Judge J. Louis Watkins Jr.; sister-in-law, Shirley Rome Watkins; sisters, Catherine Ann Watkins and Elizabeth Watkins Lonergan; and brother-in-law, Maurice Anthony Lonergan Jr. Florrie was born May 27, 1927, to Florence Delatte and Judge J. Louis Watkins. She attended St. Francis de Sales Catholic School and Ursuline College. In 1949, she married Lawrence Vincent Kornovich of Foley, Minnesota, to whom she was happily married for 51 years. Throughout her entire life, Florrie practiced her faith by working tirelessly to care for her family, friends, and the friends of her family, especially by applying her talents in the kitchen and at the sewing machine. She was much- loved. The family thanks the staff and residents of Ville Ste. Marie Senior Living Center, Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare Center, and the staff of Concerned Care Hospice, for the care and support they provided their mother. The family requests that any memorials to Florrie take the form of donations to Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare Center ======================
