Lyle George LeCompte, 54, a native and resident of Chauvin, died at 2:45 p.m. 
Wednesday, July 9, 2014.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph 
Catholic Church in Chauvin. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. 
Saturday at the church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery in Chauvin.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Marie Lirette LeCompte; son, Myles 
LeCompte, parents, Odis F. and Janice Duplantis LeCompte; brothers, Kyle and 
wife, Gail LeCompte, Blaise, Todd and wife, Jenni, Odis Jr., and Drew LeCompte 
and wife, Brandi; sisters, Stacie and husband, Tommy Belisle, Lisa LeCompte, 
and Wendy and husband, Bryan Bunn; grandchildren, Kaylee Warkow, and Ian and 
Avery LeCompte; father-in-law, Delvin "Papoose" Lirette; brothers-in-law, D.J. 
and wife, Joanna Lirette, and Ricky and wife, Brenda Lirette; and sister-in-
law, Ida Cherry.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wilsey and Allie 
Duplantis; paternal grandparents, Roosevelt and Celeste Bergeron LeCompte; and 
mother-in-law, Rosale LeBouef Lirette.

Lyle was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church
