Floyd Andrew Mahler, 52, a native of Chackbay and resident of Raceland. He was 
born April 26, 1962 and passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014.

Visitations will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Samart-Mothe Funeral Chapel 
from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at Memorial United Methodist Church on 
Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. Funeral Services will 
be held at 11:00 a.m. 

with burial to follow in Resurrection Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Tammy Porche Mahler; two 
children, Derek Porche and Megan Mahler Daigle and husband Jesse; 
granddaughters, I'niah and Mariah Daigle; father, David Mahler; brothers, 
Shelton Mahler and wife Sandra, Ricky Mahler and wife Sarah, Douglas Mahler and 
wife Cheryl; sister, Sandy Sandlin and husband Dwight; and many nieces and 
nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nolia Rodrigue Mahler.

He was an employee of Louisiana DOTD for 30 years.

He was a member of the Dusty Riders Club. He enjoyed hours riding his horse 
Snowflake and spending time with his family and many friends.
