Claude "Conk" McGuire, Sr., 70, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Houma, died Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11:39 a.m.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral 
will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Residence Baptist Church. 
Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery.

He is survived by: two sons, Clyde and Claude McGuire, Jr.; two daughters, 
Sharlene and Darlene McGuire; eight sisters, Mildred Jenkins, Brenda Bonnet, 
Sylvia McGuire and Rosetta Watson all of Houma, Bernita McGuire of Gibson, 
Paulette Randell of Napoleonville, Patrica (Alvin) Jones of Morgan City and 
Rosemary (Robert) Singleton of Patterson; one brother, Paul McGuire of Houma; 
thirty eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: wives, Elvie W. McGuire and Betty McGuire; son, 
Brian McGuire; parents, Clarence, Sr. and Mary Mitchell-McGuire; brothers, 
Clarence, Jr., James, and Horace McGuire, and Herbert Thomas; and sister, 
Magaline Campbell.

Jones Funeral Home of Houma in charge of arrangements.
