Sylvia LeRay Morvant, 78, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 9:27 a.m. 
Sunday, July 13, 2014. 

Visitation will be 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. Genevieve Church 
in Thibodaux. A payer service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. 

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Wilbur J. Morvant; sons, Timothy, 
Kendall, Troy and W.J. Morvant II; daughter, Kim M. Walker and husband, Allan; 
brother, Harold P. LeRay and wife, Marlene; sister, Phyllis LeRay Bilello and 
husband, Robert; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert H. LeRay and Lucille 
Boudreaux LeRay. 

Sylvia retired from Lafourche ARC after 27 years. She was an avid member of St. 
Genevieve Church and loved gardening and bird watching. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to: St. 
Genevieve Catholic Church, 815 Barbier Ave., Thibodaux, LA 70301. 

Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
