Dolores Malo Toups, 87, native of Tampico, Mexico, and resident of Houma, 
passed away Friday, July 4, 2014. 

A graveside ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bisland Cemetery at 366 Lower 
Country Drive in Bourg. 

She is survived by her stepsister, Hildelisa Malo Almazan, of Mexico; 
stepbrother, Benjamin Malo Almazan, of Mexico; stepchildren, Eugene Toups, 
Harold Toups Jr., and Marjorie Ann Toups; closest friends, Audrey and Bobby 
George, and their children, Robby, Andre, and Annick Matherne; along with 
Maudrey Bergeron and Terri Findorff. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Toups Sr.; stepson, Carroll 
Toups; and parents, Yndalecio Malo Estrella and Ma. De-Jesus Acuna Malo. 

Dolores was very proud of her American citizenship. Though she took many trips 
to Tampico, Mexico, her latest at 80 years old, she was always anxious to 
return back to Louisiana and Houma. 
Her hobbies were gardening and sewing. 
She also taught conversational Spanish classes at Auspices Codofil Chapter. 

She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends both in Louisiana and 
Mexico. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
