Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday (Sep. 2, 2014) at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by her son, Gary Paul Chauvin and wife, Patsy, of Texas; daughter, Judy Tabor, of Houma; son-in-law, Britt Adams, of Houma; daughter-in- law, Danielle Chauvin, of Thidobdaux; sisters-in-law, Rita Mae Porche and June Porche, of Houma; grandchildren, Tabitha Tabor Dearmond, Cherise Adams Tabor and husband, Troy, Mitzi Chauvin McDonald and husband, Mitch, Monique Adams Jackson and husband, Randy, Cory Tabor and wife, Molly, Colette Adams Antoun and husband, Ivan, and Justin Chauvin; great-grandchildren, Zack Tabor, Trevor Tabor, Trent Tabor, Benton McDonald, Mitchell McDonald, Lauren Dearmond, Jillian Dearmond, and Aaron Dearmond; and her caregiver, Mary Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anatole Paul Chauvin; daughter, Charlene Ann Chauvin Adams; son-in-law, Morris "Moe" Tabor; parents, Albert J. Porche and Nettie Bergeron Porche; brothers, Liley J. Porche, William P. "Bill" Porche, Herbert P. Porche and Elsey J. Porche; and sisters, Beatrice P. Ledet, Enola Eva Porche Ledet Thibodaux, Althea Ann "Bookie" P. Conner, Lillian Ann Porche Lirette, Leona Marie Porche Hebert, Lucy Marie Porche Dupre, and Lottie Marie Porche Puge. Nettie was a homemaker and a retired dental assistant of Keller Dentistry. She was a member of the Hyacinthians Carnival Club and Catholic Daughters. She was a parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society. ======================
