Ronald J. Ellis, 54, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Kansas City, 
Missouri, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Thibodaux Funeral 
Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. 

He is survived by his children, Jana, Aaron and Katlynne Ellis, and Caleb 
Nelson; grandson, Caleb Ramal Nelson; parents, Samuel and Rosie Coles; 
brothers, Gregory (Brenda) Coles, Kenneth (Shannon) Coles and Ray Coles; 
sisters, Cheryl (Coyle) Ferrygood and Tara (Vincent) Williams; aunts, Gail 
Tillman, Linda (Larry) Tillman, Mary Jo (Lenny) Mozee, Carrie Ellis, and Marion 
Ellis; uncle, Wilbert (Rusty) Williams; and mother of his children, Sheila 
Ellis Brown. 

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, the Rev. Earl Ellis; grandmother, 
Delma Ellis; uncles, Raymond and Lawrence Ellis; and aunt, Dorothy Bailey. 

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
