He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 1, 2014 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his, Wife of 56 years, Margery Marmande Fournier; sons, Glenn Michael Fournier and wife Claire, and Tommy Dean Fournier and wife Melissa; grandson, Michael Fournier; brothers, Russell Fournier, Daniel Fournier and wife Barbara, and George Fournier; sisters, Georgia Hebert and Barbara Ann White; sister-in-laws, Theresa, Melva and Catherine Fournier. He was preceded in death by his, Parents, Onezip and Clemence Breaux Fournier; brothers, Onezip Jr., Louis and Urbain Fournier; brother-in-law, Allen Hebert; sister-in-law, Mary Frances and Yvonne Fournier. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. He served in the Korean War Conflict aboard the USS Osprey (minesweeper). He was a former owner of Fournier's Radiator Repair, and retired with Terrebonne Parish School Board. He was an active member of the YMCA. Would like to thank staff of Mary Bird Perkins, 3rd floor nursing staff at TGMC, and personal care givers. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Bernadette building fund would be appreciated.
