Joseph Jenkins Jr., 74, a native of Raceland and resident of Houma, died 
Thursday, July 31, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at New Vision 
Christian Community Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the 
church, 

with burial in Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery. 

He is survived by his sons, Russell, Kenneth (Monica) and Duane Folse, of 
Raceland; Donna (Sylvester) Smith and Charlene Folse, of Raceland, and Linda 
(Christopher) Williams, of Houma; brothers, Larry (Charlotte) Jenkins, and 
Darryl (Patricia), Calvin (Lisa), Tyrone Joseph, and Lionel (Paulette) Joseph; 
and sisters, Jean J. Smith, Paula Willis, Londa Jenkins, and Gwen Jenkins, of 
New Orleans. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Leanna Charles Jenkins; 
brothers, Stanley Jenkins Sr. and William Charles; and sisters, Estella 
Bergeron and Polly Charles. 

Gertrude Geddes-Willis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
