Kermit "Acie" "Sweetie" Jones, 61, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident 
of Raceland, died Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 10:11 a.m.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral 
will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at New Rising Sun Baptist 
Church. 

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

He is survived by: his fiance, Shandra Bell; three sons, Chance Franklin, 
Shecory and Jacory Bell; three daughters, Ebony Michelle, Ona and Jodie 
Franklin; five sisters, Octavia McKinley, Geraldine Robinson, Victoria Harris, 
Janice and Sylvia Jones; four brothers, Junious, Leroy, Edward and Cleveland 
Jones; and twenty-four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Clarence and Sedonia Porche-Jones; 
nieces, Lanna and April Jones; brothers-in-law, Johnny Harris, Henry McKinley 
and Roosevelt Guilliam.
