He was a native of Schriever, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 8:00 AM until service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM. Burial: Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his, Son: Donald Paul Ledet and wife Sandra; Daughter: Susan Ledet Zielaskowski and husband Al; daughter-law, Wanda Hebert Ledet; Sisters: Rita Ledet Dye and husband Herb and Mable Ledet Griffin and husband Walter; 7 Grandchildren;15 Great Grandchildren; 6 Great-Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his, Wife, Laurita Bridget Dubois Ledet; Son, Randy Joseph Ledet; granddaughter, Kathleen Ledet; Parents, Abbie Paul and Lucille Marie Chauvin Ledet; Brothers: Maurice Joseph,, Charles Ray and Wilfred Daniel Ledet. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He was a self taught artist in which he always gave his paintings away.
