Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 am at the church followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, C.J. Marcello Jr., Steven J. Marcello DDS and wife Lie Ann, William B. Marcello DVM and wife Noreen; daughter, Cynthia M. Roppolo and husband Joseph; sister, Rosemary Staehle; grandchildren, Toni Marcello Brinker, Justin Marcello, Christopher Marcello, Christy Marcello, Carli Marcello, Blake Marcello, Meghan Marcello Ray; Marianna Roppolo, Amy Roppolo; four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carlo Joseph Marcello DVM; parents, John Staehle and Elvige Dansereau Elmer; sisters, Dorothy Mae Goll, Elvige Yucis. She was an accomplished artist, using china and canvas as her mediums. Her life as well as her art was a delicate reflection of beauty. Marianna was a past member of the New Orleans Porcelain Art Club, International Porcelain Art Teachers and past president of the New Orleans Branch of World Organization China Painters. In addition to her art, a teacher of knitting for the Thibodaux Recreation Department. The family would like to thank her long term care givers, as well as Delta Home Health and St. Joseph Hospice, for their outstanding support and dedication over the past years.
