Steven Ray "Big Ace" Melancon Sr., 57, a native and resident of Houma, died at 
9:10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time 
Wednesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. 
Wednesday at the funeral home, 

with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

He is survived by his former wife, Mary Hebert; mother, Ethel Sharp; sons, 
Steven Jr., Shawn and wife, Misty, and Sam and Scott Melancon; brothers, 
Freddie Jr., Barry and Jarrell Melancon; sister, Georgia Domangue; and 
grandchildren, Kate, Shawn Jr. and Skyla Melancon.

He was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Melancon Sr.

Steven was a member of First Baptist Church in Houma. He enjoyed playing cards 
and visiting with his family and friends.

Falgout Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
