Mary Minor, 92, a native of New Orleans and resident of Lockport, died Sunday, 
Aug. 17, 2014. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at 
New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Larose. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. 
Saturday at the church, 

with burial in New Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery in Larose. 

She is survived by her son, Jerome (Diane) L. Degree; daughters, Stella 
Campose, Beverly Marts, Donna M. Degree, Debra K. Jones, Rhonda (Jeff) M. 
Jones, and Melanie Minor; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six 
great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Minor; parents, Samuel and 
Stella Jeanpierre; sons, Alfred Degree 111, Stanly Degree and Gregory Minor; 
and brother, Samuel Jumpiere Jr. 

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
