Orgeron, 85, a native of Clovelly Farms and longtime resident of Galliano, passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his daughters, Theresa Duet (Jonathan), Celeste Daigle (Mike), Mary Howard (Curtis), and Anne Dantin (Ched); grandchildren, Jace Duet (Aimee), Jennifer Duet, Michael, Chris, and Sam Daigle, Alexandra and Matthew Howard, Samantha, Zachary, and Claire Dantin; and great-grandchildren, Olivia and Victoria Duet. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Patsy Orgeron; parents, Augustin and Nola B. Orgeron; brothers, J.D. Orgeron and Lloyd "Buzzy" Orgeron; and sister, Noella Charitat. Clyde graduated from Cut Off High School, then went on to graduate from Southwestern College with a degree in English. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army at Ft. Polk and attained the rank of Lieutenant where he met his beloved wife, Patsy Davis. He was a teacher at LCO High School. He received his Master of Education from LSU and later became principal of Galliano Junior High. He went on to become Assistant Superintendent in Lafourche Parish where he retired. In retirement, Clyde enjoyed fishing with family and friends, playing cards, gardening, and watching the Saints.
