Lonnie Powell, 73, a native of LeCompte and resident of Houma, died at 12:18 
a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12,2014. 

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 11:30 a.m. until funeral time 
Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. 

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 

with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. 

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Parfait Powell; sons, Troy Powell and Daniel 
LeBeouf; daughter, Tonya LeBeouf; grandchildren, Brittany Powell, Ashley Powell 
Martinez, Hannah Dillon, Justin Talley, Caitlyn Hancock, Gavin Domangue, Claire 
LeBeouf, Marli McNabb, and Mila LeBeouf; great-granddaughter, Gabriella 
Martinez; brother, George Ford; sisters, Velma Messer and Thelma Amond; and 
numerous other family members and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Emily Gracie Ford and James Ford; sons, 
Kevin Powell and Heath Dillon; and sister, Emily Gomez. 

Lonnie loved to fuss, fish, hunt, and work; in that order, but he loved his 
family the most. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Brian Matherne, Dr. Bruce Guidry, CIS, the 
staff of CCU at Terrebonne General Medical Center and Ochsner Home Health. 

Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
