Sidney Woods, 87, a resident and native of Paincourtville, LA passed away on 
Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at home.
He was born Sunday, February 13, 1927.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Saturday August 23, 2014 at St. 
Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville, La from 9:00am until the Mass of 
Christian Burial at 11:00am. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Anite Richard Woods; two daughters, 
Marlene Hebert and husband Lawrence II "Larry" and Gail Newchurch and husband 
Anatole Jr. "Toddy"; brother, Louis Woods; four grandchilidren, Lawrence 
"Larry" Hebert III, Rusty Hebert, Jennifier "Jenny" Newchurch Templet, and 
Elizabeth "Betsy" Newchurch Landry; 13 greatgrandchildren; and one great-
greatgrandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Annette Simoneaux Woods and 
two brothers, Wilson and Philip Woods.

Mr. Sidney Woods loved to make swings, rockers, and gliders and donate them to 
local church and school fairs as auction items.This is why we ask that in lieu 
of flowers to please make donations to Saint Elizabeth Catholic School.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
