Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1409.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Pearl "Willie Pearl" Reed Aucoin, 94, entered into her eternal home Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. She was born Aug. 19, 1920, to the late John Lemuel Reed and the late Lona Mae Rutland, in Bogalusa. She also had four brothers who preceded her in death, Allen Reed (Myrtle), Edward Theodore Reed (Elsie), Jewett Reed (Grace), and Mack Harold Reed (Helen); and one half-sister Beatrice Reed. Pearl was married to Joseph Aucoin and they had one son, Clifton Aucoin, both of whom preceded her in death. Their home was in New Orleans, until 2005, when Hurricane Katrina left everything and everyone scattered in different places. She had many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and after Katrina she was with her brother Jewett's family. Her nephews, James Reed (Mary Ann), the late Pee Ronald Reed (Linda), Douglas Reed (Cathy), and her niece, Linda Reed Schiro (Albert). Also, her nephew, Phillip Montecino (Charlene). The family wishes to thank St. Joseph Manor, Lafourche Home for the Aged, Journey Hospice, Guest House of Slidell, and Lakeshore Hospice for the wonderful care that was given to her for the last nine years. Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans is in charge of arrangements. ======================
