Mildred R. Blanchard, 93, a native of Avery Island, LA and resident of 
Thibodaux, LA, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am 
at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial 
will be celebrated at 11:00 am at the church 

followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Thibodaux.

She is survived by sons, Charles Blanchard Sr., Ronald Blanchard and wife Anna 
Mae, and Michael Blanchard Sr. and wife Brenda all of Thibodaux, LA; daughter, 
Patricia Gravois of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Adeline R. Simon and Lorain R. 
Cazenave; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great 
grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James J. Blanchard; parents, Taylor J. 
Richard and Angelle S. Richard; brothers, Herman Richard, Milton Richard and 
Robert Richard; sisters, Eula Mae R. Blanchard, Eloise R. Falgoust and Mary Ann 
R. Simon.

Arrangements are entrusted to Thibodaux Funeral Home of Thibodaux, LA
