Visitation will be 5-10 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery in Raceland. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Williamson Butcher; son: Barry Jr. and wife. Stephanie; daughter, Dusty Butcher Chauvin and husband, Justin; brothers, Barney and Kip Butcher and wife, Diane; grandchildren, Katie Vicknair Duet, Dustin J. and Troy J. Vicknair and Jesse Butcher; great-grandchildren, Emily Flurry and Layton Duet; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Mitch Butcher; and parents, Ruffin Jr. and Lucy Blanchard Butcher. Barry was a member of United Church of God. He loved playing the violin and guitar and was a song-writer. He was a true friend to all who knew him. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
