Murphy "Murph-Lee" M. Callais, Jr, 38, a native and resident of Galliano passed 
away September 24, 2014.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 28, at the Falgout Funeral Home 
in Galliano from 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and on Monday, September 29, at Our 
Lady Prompt Succor Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. till funeral time. Funeral 
Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. 

with burial following in Our Lady Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Emma M. Callais; daughter, Rayven Plaisance; son, 
Taylor Callais; grandparents, Robert and Lou Rebstock; parents, Murphy M. 
Callais Sr. and Kathy R. Callais; brother, Chad Callais and wife Jamie and 
their children Owen, Luke, and Morgan; uncle, Russell "Putt" Callais; in-laws, 
Grace and Frank Marmolejo; sister-in-laws, Martha and Reggie, their daughter 
Alli, Patricia and husband Mark Savoie; their children Grace, M.J. and wife 
Brittney and their children Jaydon and B.J.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Lorina Callais, and 
brother, Jeremy Callais.

Mr. Murphy was a 4th Degree with the Knights of Columbus Council #9000, on the 
Pastoral Council and an Acolyte at Our Lady of Prompt Succor, and a member of 
the Holy Name Society.

He was the owner and operator of Murphy Callais Construction, an avid LSU fan 
who loved, his family and friends.

Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano entrusted with arrangements.
