Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. The Rev. Charles McMillin will officiate. Carrying Minnie to her eternal resting place will be: Kelly Barnette, James Dupree, T.C. Martinez, Alex Badon, Ryan Lachausse, and Jack Gates. Minnie is survived by her sons, John Dupree (Judy), of Jennings, and Peter Dupree (Sherill), of Houma; daughters, Mother Valerie Dupree, of Lockport, and Therese Hinchee, of Jennings; grandchildren, Dion Walker (Mike), Monique Gates, Andrea Dupree, James Dupree, Aimee Dupree and Beth Barnette (Kelly); and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustine and Sylvania Langley; her beloved husband, Adam "Babe" Dupree; and brother, Ory Langley. Minnie was born in Kinder to the late Augustine and the late Sylvania Langley. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and Altar Society. She was also a former member of The Mother's Club. Minnie and her husband, Adam "Babe" Dupree founded Dupree Electric and Plumbing in 1954. She loved to garden in her spare time. Minnie also loved to cook and sew many things for her family. She was an avid reader. Minnie had a heart of gold and greeted everyone with a warm smile. In lieu of flowers, the memorial donations in her name may be made to the OLI Library and the Carnegie Library. Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings is in charge of arrangements. ======================
