Carol Jean Nicholas, 61, a native of Abbeville and resident of Houma, died 
Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014. 

Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral 
services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. 

She is survived by her wife, Edie Folse; daughters, Kerrie Jean Scott, Margie 
Lee Scott, Billie Roy Foreman Degeytair and husband, Toby, and Regan Lynn 
Foreman Marcel and husband, Blake; adopted son, Gerald Lopez and wife, Ashley; 
brother, Robert Wayne Nicholas and wife, Cynthia; grandchildren, Destiny, Ross, 
Victoria, Brock, Trinity, Trey, Sara, and Drake; and numerous nieces and 
nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim W. Nicholas; mother; Margie Mae 
Harris; and brothers, Jim "Jimbo" Nicholas and Johnny Andrew Nicholas. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
