Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1409.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Shirley McKaughan Porche, 75, a native of Lockport and resident of Bayou Blue, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until funeral time Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Bayou Blue. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Daigle Cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Ginger Rouse and husband, Clay, of Mobile, Alabama, and Becky Sutton and husband, Jeff, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother, Emert McKaughan and wife, Barbara, of Nashoba, Oklahoma; sister, Fonda Boudreaux, of Jesup, Georgia; grandchildren, Brittney and Clay Rouse Jr., of Mobile, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Clark J. Porche; son, Timothy Porche; and parents, Anna Irene McKaughan Lococo and Elmo Sidney McKaughan. Shirley was a 1958 graduate of Lockport High School. She was a life-long homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bayou Blue. Many would describe her as a compassionate, giving, empathetic, selfless, and loving individual. She would always put the needs of others before herself. She valued life and lived everyday to the fullest. She was larger than life. She was the most unique, one of a kind person you would ever meet. She will be remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and chef, who enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends and last but not least was an eclectic collector. She will be a greatly missed by family and friends. Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements. ======================
