He was a native of Schriever, LA and a life-long resident of Thibodaux, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 5PM until 10PM at Thibodaux Funeral Home. A memorial visitation will be on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 9AM until funeral time at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by a memorial mass at 11AM with burial in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church cemetery. He is survived by his sons, Eric and wife Kathy Usey Roundtree and Rick Roundtree; brother, A.J. "Al" Roundtree; sister, Ruby Roundtree Boudreaux; grandchildren, Erica Roundtree Ford and husband Justin, Tiffany Roundtree and Ashley Roundtree; great-grandchildren, Jax Ford and Gabriel Burke. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Guillot Roundtree; parents, Albert and Annette Daigle Roundtree; brothers, Sam and Charles Ray Roundtree; sisters, Marion R. Becnel, Mildred R. Lasseigne, Shirley R. LeBouef, Joyce Roundtree, Dot R. Lundgren, Elsie R. Vicknair and Ruth Roundtree. He was an employee of National Food Store for over 25 years and N.J. Gaubert Tire Service for over 20 years. During his retirement years, he was employed at Politz's restaurant in Thibodaux. He loved doing yard work and bus trips with his daughter-in-law. His love for people radiated through his smile that was always present.
