Modenia Upton, 85. A resident of Gibson, LA died on Sunday, September 14, 2014 
at Terrebonne General Medical Center.

Visitation at Community Funeral Home on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 5-7p.m.

Homegoing celebration will be at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Gibson, LA on 
Monday, September 22, 2014 with visitation from 9a.m. until funeral time at 
12:00p.m. 

Burial at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church cemetery in Gibson.

She is survived by two sons,David May of Morgan City, LA and Jimmy (Linda) May 
of Houma, LA. One daughter: Alice (Herman)Boutte of Columbia, SC. One sister: 
Alberta Buckley of Mt. Herman, LA

5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY:
1st husband, Jefferson Davis May; 2nd husband, Samuel Upton; Parents, Leon 
Harness and Vivian Campbell Brooks. Brothers, Robert, Jewel and J.M. Harness. 
Sisters, Maude D. Short, Irene Harness and Ado Cockerham; Grandson, Juan May
