James "Papa" White Sr., 86, a native of Morgan City and resident of Houma, died 
Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at House Hold of 
Faith Assembly Church in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at 
the church, 

with burial in Southdown Cemetery. 

He is survived by his son, Jerome Grover White, of Houma; and two daughters, 
Debra (Elroy) White Baker, of Houma, and Eunice Patty White, of Atlanta, 
Georgia. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Bell Matthews White; parents, 
Wilbert White Sr. and Eunice Ruffin White; sons, James Jr., Maurice and Byron 
Ricky White; daughter, Pauline White; brother, Wilbert White Jr.; and sister, 
Rosetta Barbra "Malou" White. 

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. 

Gertrude-Geddes Willis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
