Mariese "Marie" Eloise Steiner Ayo, 82, a resident of Thibodaux, died at 3:05 
a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at home. 
She was born Nov. 27, 1931, in Mansfield. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. Joseph Co-
Cathedral in Thibodaux. A Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church. 

She is survived by her children, Danny Ayo and wife, Patsy, Ann Ayo Toups and 
husband, John, and Jeffrey Ayo and wife, Effie; sister, Beth Steiner Bernard; 
grandchildren, Eric Esposito, Margaret Esposito, Dustin Ayo, Jacob Ayo, and 
Taylor Falgout; and great-grandchildren, Emily and Brynn Wolfe, and Avery and 
Philip Esposito. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip O. Ayo Jr.; and parents, 
Bessie Wilkins Steiner and Daniel Sebastian Steiner Jr. 

The family would like to express special thanks to Haydel Hospice, and sitters, 
Pearl Johnson, Hesta Carter and Robin Brown. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to any charity.
