ELLENDER, EFFIE MARIE   

Effie Marie Ellender, 101, a native of Houma and resident of Larose, died 
Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014. 

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Garden of Memories Cemetery 
in Gray. 

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Ellender Thibodeaux and Judy Ellender; 
seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ellender; parents, Louis Toups 
and Justilia Billiot Toups; brothers, George, John and Roy; and sisters, 
Celeste, Daisy and Della. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
