Isabelle Robichaux Guidry, a native of Raceland, Louisiana died October 14, 
2014. 

Public visitation will be 9 to 11 am, Monday, October 27, 2014, at St. Hilary 
of Poitiers Catholic Church in Raceland, Louisiana. A mass of Christian burial 
will be celebrated at 11:00 am 

immediately followed by interment at St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery in Raceland.

Isabelle was born the seventh of nine children on July 6,1920, to Samuel T. 
Robichaux and Aleda F. Robichaux. She graduated from Raceland High School and 
completed Molar Beauty College in New Orleans. Isabelle had multiple careers in 
her life - a beautician being her first, then dabbling in real estate with her 
daughter-in-law, Beverly and later a florist working with her son, Torn. At the 
age of 60 she became an oil and gas leasing agent with Boudreaux Properties in 
Thibodaux and retired from that, her favorite profession at 82 years old. 
"Granny," as she was affectionately known to many, enjoyed traveling, reading, 
needlework, flower arranging and gardening – growing tabasco peppers and 
bottling her own hot sauce. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family 
and bestowing attention on her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Isabelle is survived by her brother Donald G. Robichaux, daughters Marilyn G. 
Ritchie and husband William E. Ritchie, Mary E. Riffle and husband Donald L. 
Riffle, and daughter-in-law Beverly B. Guidry; grandchildren Timothy S. Ritchie 
and wife Alexa B. Ritchie, Kelly R. Camenzuli and husband Francois J. 
Camenzuli, LT Scott E. Riffle, USN and wife Kristen W. Riffle, Dawn G. Hodges 
and husband Donald G. Hodges, Ashley G. Yousey and husband Theodore J. Yousey, 
Hunter B. Guidry and wife Tiffany G. Guidry; great-grandchildren Brennan, 
Kramer, and Arden Ritchie, Isabelle and Abigail Camenzuli, Harrison, Eleanor, 
and Theodore Riffle, and Grayson and Lily Hodges.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jerome Waldon Guidry, Sr.; sons Jerome 
Waldon Guidry, Jr. and Thomas John Guidry; grandchildren Catherine Anna 
Ritchie, David Edward Ritchie, and Shane Paul Guidry; parents Samuel Tilden and 
Aleda Folse Robichaux; siblings Sam T. Robichaux, Inez R. Pecot, David T. 
Robichaux, Eugene L. Robichaux, Francis J. Robichaux, Sr., Rita R. Bourgeois, 
and Lorna R. Arango
